BHP and BMA employees can register at any time to use the Local Buying Program for their procurement needs. Buyers will be required to validate their registrations via their BHP email. Once registered, buyers can source goods and services from Local Buying Program suppliers by raising Work Instructions.

Tier A Contractor employees can register at any time to use the Local Buying Program for their procurement needs. Buyers will be required to validate their registrations via their Tier A Contractor email. Once registered, buyers can source goods and services from Local Buying Program suppliers by raising Work Instructions.

An initiative under BHP’s Local Buying Program aimed at helping local suppliers enhance their capacity and capabilities to meet the requirements of large companies like BHP. Capacity Building and Supplier Development

The program collates training, workshops, and resources designed to help local businesses understand the expectations of large-scale buyers. This includes topics such as safety standards, procurement processes and compliance requirements.

Small, local and Indigenous businesses receive specific guidance from our Business Services Team, located in each region, on how to improve their capabilities to better align with the needs of BHP. They are able to identify areas for growth and improvement, to ensure you become more competitive in the broader BHP supply chain.

Workshops, Events and Webinars

Our webinars feature expert BHP speakers and an interactive Q&A session. They are an essential opportunity for suppliers to understand BHP’s policies, procedures and operations. Suppliers can access training videos to learn how to sustainably and responsibly supply goods and services to BHP through the Local Buying Program here.

Our Supply Chain Ready program includes workshops and events that focus on different aspects of supply chain management, such as sustainability, digital transformation, or innovation.
