Christmas is a time to come together and celebrate achievements and partnerships from throughout the year and Mt Arthur Coal’s end-of-year stakeholder event was exactly that.

Mt Arthur Coal’s new General Manager, Adam Lancy, welcomed stakeholders to the event with an introduction and overview of each stakeholder’s impact to Mt Arthur Coal.

Adam spoke about the achievements of the Local Buying Program and Local Buying Foundation and the financial impacts both have had on the local community; adding that the venue, catering and everything for the evenings event was sourced through the Local Buying Program.

Also at the event were stakeholders from throughout the business community who had benefited from Local Buying Foundation sponsorship and support, including members of Muswellbrook Chamber of Commerce and Singleton Business Chamber, Steve Tilse (Upper Hunter Country Tourism) and Jelinda Millgate (The Business Centre).  Several LBF Advisory Committee members, including Mike Kelly (President, Muswellbrook Chamber of Commerce), Sue Gilroy (President, Singleton Business Chamber), De-anne Douglas, Duane Dowell and Chris Lavis were also at the event, which demonstrated the strength and importance of the relationship between the LBP, LBF, Mount Arthur Coal, and local community organisations and businesses.
