Brewing connections and wellbeing across Central Queensland sites

Creating a welcoming, connected environment for staff and visitors is important across BHP’s Central Queensland operations. Through the BHP Local Buying Program, sites partnered with Coffee N Crumbs, a Moranbah-based business, to deliver more than just great coffee.

From early morning catch-ups to major events like R U OK Day and Movember BBQs, Coffee N Crumbs has become a trusted partner in fostering wellbeing and inclusion. Their flexibility, whether catering for a team celebration or providing tailored menus for large gatherings, ensures every occasion feels special.

The partnership delivered catering services that support wellbeing and community connection, helping BHP teams recharge and maintain a positive workplace culture. Coffee N Crumbs strengthened the local supply chain by consistently engaging as a small, regional business. Through streamlined engagement via the LBPportal, site teams could easily access quality services without administrative complexity. This collaboration also supported BHP’s social value pillars by promoting inclusion and supporting local economic growth.

This story highlights how the LBP helps build strong relationships between BHP sites and local businesses, creating shared value for people and communities.
