A partnership for sustainable growth

The opportunity for Australian Indigenous Coffee (AiC) arose when BHP sought to enhance its employee amenities with high-quality, locally sourced coffee services through the Local Buying Program. BHP’s interest aligned with AiC’s mission to provide not only premium coffee but also social and economic benefits to Aboriginal communities.

AiC has organised coffee cart events for staff, bringing a unique and engaging experience to their workforce. Supplying and integrating coffee machines into BHP’s Perth office, enhancing their employee amenities and by providing coffee machines and beans to BHP’s mine sites, ensuring quality and consistency across different locations.

Through the program, we’ve gained valuable opportunities that have directly impacted our ability to scale our business. This growth has had a profound economic impact, allowing us to fund and expand the social programs we offer, such as Aboriginal employment and training initiatives. The program’s focus on supporting local suppliers has been invaluable to our business development and the communities we serve.”
