Strengthening Cybersecurity: Consulting opportunity for a Virtual Chief Information Security Officer

In our ongoing commitment to excellence and innovation, C-Res is excited to announce a new opportunity for a Virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) consultant. This role is crucial as we continue to enhance our cybersecurity measures to protect our cloud-based IT services and infrastructure.

C-Res stands at the forefront of driving business growth and collaboration, primarily through our strategic partnership with BHP in delivering their Local Buying Program, and administering the Local Buying Foundations. Our efforts have supported small, local, and Indigenous businesses, facilitating over $1.3 billion in spending as a result of BHP’s Local Buying Program over the past decade. Due to the success of the Program, over $12.9 million has been invested by the Local Buying Foundations on projects that drive economic change across our regions. Our commitment to streamlining local procurement and payment processes has significantly contributed to regional economies and local businesses.

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced vCISO to provide strategic leadership and hands-on support in our cybersecurity program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Risk Management and Compliance: Conducting risk assessments, ensuring regulatory compliance, and developing risk management strategies.
  • Security Strategy and Governance: Creating and maintaining cybersecurity strategies and policies.
  • Incident Response: Leading incident response efforts and managing security incidents.
  • Security Operations: Overseeing security tools, technologies, and regular assessments.
  • Training and Awareness: Developing training programs and promoting a culture of security awareness.
  • Reporting: Providing regular updates on our cybersecurity posture to stakeholders.
