Port De-bottlenecking Project 1 (PDP1) required hazard signage for all high voltage boxes installed on the project. Through the normal channels, cost and delivery time would be extensive for the required signage.
The Local Buying Program was leveraged to find source quotes from Local and Indigenous Businesses who had the resources to complete the package within the required time frame.
Within the same day, a Request for Quote was raised, and a Work Instruction was issued to Traditional Owner business, Blak Line Industries to deliver the signage.
C-Res Business Development Principal, Kristy Foale-Hickmott provided training at the Technical Forum in Perth, where this buyer learnt about the easy process to access multiple quotes through the Local Buying Program.
“The Local Buying Program process was seamless and allowed for a direct connection to the supplier, and delivery received within a month of PO being issued.”
