BHP and BMA employees can register at any time to use the Local Buying Program for their procurement needs. Buyers will be required to validate their registrations via their BHP email. Once registered, buyers can source goods and services from Local Buying Program suppliers by raising Work Instructions.

Specialised Starlink installers on site for BHP

Starlink installation is a specialised service that would normally require mobilisation from Perth or transferring vehicles to Perth for installation. It would be beneficial if the vehicle was delivered on fly out day, have Starlink installed and then collect the vehicle again on fly in day.

Goldfields Offroad have been a vendor for BHP for a few years. BHP Buyer Cale Moran reached out to Goldfields Offroad Manager Johar and suggested they register for the Local Buying Program and benefit from the payment terms and increased work opportunities. Goldfields Offroad have the capability to combine automotive electrical and comms to install Starlink into site vehicles and provide the necessary upgrades to the units. This service being readily available in Kalgoorlie is an expense saving as there is no need to mobilise specialised comms auto electricians to site.
