New local business experiences rapid growth

RJ Engineering was only established in July 2023 and made their start at BHP through the Local Buying Program. Since then, they’ve successfully completed over $400k (ex GST) worth of work and have over $1M (ex GST) of work currently in progress. The business is owned and operated locally in Roxby Downs by Wade Ingerson and the company has experienced massive success through the LBP with the volume and value of work they’re providing at OD. They’re able to provide a quick service and response to the requirements of site teams and can be competitive on price because they are based locally. RJ Engineering specialise in a range of activities – civil, fabrication, structural repairs, piping, blast and paint and maintenance repairs, including labour supply.

“Having local contractors allowed them to get on site to take measurements for fabrication of parts the day after sending out a quotation request. They also utilised local labour during the shutdown which reduces the requirement for flights and ODV camp accommodation.”
