The Supplier Guide available to BHP Buyers on the Local Buying Program portal can help solve this problem. Currently 20 Traditional Owner and Indigenous Businesses are registered with the program in NSW and are readily accessible to buyers via the Supplier Guide.

Local Indigenous business, AM & JD Contracting, has been sourced this way via the Local Buying Program, has experienced business growth and diversification as a result of LBP engagements. They now offer BHP Buyers a range of services crucial for rehabilitation work at BHP Mt Arthur, including tree planting, off-site vegetation maintenance, fencing, property upkeep, and equipment hire; mostly newly created extensions to their previous work experience on site.
