Local Qld Central Highlands business, MGC Constructions, has recently been successfully engaged to install and commission the header pipeline out to MG21 and the trunk lines down MG19 and MG20. This requires polyethylene pipe in the ground, low point drains, isolation valves, riser tees for gas well tie-ins and associated infrastructure.
BMA Broadmeadow have engaged MGC Constructions to complete this project, to align with mining and production requirements for gas drainage. The extension is required to continue gas drainage being flared at the centralised gas drainage plant.
MGC Constructions are a newly registered business on the Local Buying Program. They registered after attending the Meet the Buyer events; at the time they had not been previously been engaged with BHP. MGC Constructions provide high quality supply, fabrication, installation and project management services for fluid and gas transmission pipelines and infrastructure, including related equipment and maintenance, so when the opportunity for this work arose, BMA found that their quote, compared to other competitors, provided more value and better pricing.
“MGC is quick to respond to requests from BMA, and that the quality of the site set up is great which has set a good standard for the project to continue.”
Lance Bennett – Supervisor Projects, BMA Broadmeadow.
