In the face of a challenging labor hire shortage within the local Port Hedland community, BHP were challenged with sourcing suitably qualified trades staff to back fill in work at the North Yard facility at Port Hedland.
The obstacles stemming from the scarcity of available labor could include delayed project timelines, increased workload on existing staff, compromised quality of work, potential safety risks due to understaffing, and higher operational costs associated with sourcing labor from external providers.
