Trading Tracks leads local business to supply BHP

Local Indigenous Business, East Coast Stickers and Signs, recently met with the Trading Tracks team to identify opportunities for capability building within their business, where they also discussed the Local Buying Program. They were referred to C-Res Indigenous Business Development Advisor, Shannon Fraser. Shannon assisted with onboarding this supplier, including some supplier training. As a result of this initial connection, and showcasing their business on the BHP, this local business has since received their first Work Instruction to provide BMA with signage.

The Trading Tracks program, an initiative developed by the Local Buying Foundation, assists Indigenous businesses to build capacity and capability through facilitation of business development and mentoring services. C-Res’ Indigenous Business Development team works closely with Camille Elliott and Stacey Kreyts (Qld Trading Tracks Business Development Officers) to identify opportunities for referrals to each program.

“Guidance from Trading Tracks lead us in the right direction to register with the Local Buying Program. We are now working with BHP and have made some important business connections which will help our business continue to grow.”
