BHP Mt Arthur Coal’s recent International Women’s Day event at Balmoral Homestead in Muswellbrook was a big success thanks to the services provided by local catering company, Catering by Lorraine. Approximately 200 attendees were catered for with food and drinks by a local company with experienced hospitality staff, while additional equipment such as tents, tables, chairs, and offsite amenities were also provided to ensure the event ran smoothly. The event marked the first time that Catering by Lorraine was engaged by BHP Mt Arthur Coal, and with the help of other the Local Buying Program suppliers the day was noted as a huge success. The entire process was completed quickly and efficiently with the support of C-Res.
Feedback on the day was exemplary, and all guests and hosts were extremely happy with the success of the event. BHP Mt Arthur Coal’s commitment to engaging small, local businesses and supporting the local community was evident in this engagement through the Local Buying Program. The successful event means that there are further work and opportunities in the future for the caterer.
“This was my first engagement with BHP Mt Arthur -the communication between BHP and myself made this opportunity a really good experience. The guidance by the C-Res team also assisted in it being a success for my company.”
