BHP engage business leadership specialists via LBP for local training solutions.
The BHP Central Warehouse in Paget, Mackay, supports production sites across the BMA assets in the Bowen Basin. They work with people from across all sites and are integral to the success of each mine.
In an effort to build on team culture with a current growth focus, local Mackay business, Minds Aligned, was engaged to provide the Warehouse Team with the resources needed to create a positive work culture, streamline decision-making and systems, and grow the potential of effective leaders.
Face-to-face training was held at the BHP Future Fit Academy, and BHP personnel were presented with information covering the following topics –
- Introduction to what shapes and drives behaviour using the Seen/Unseen model and why we respond or react the way we do in certain circumstances
- Simple neuroscience concepts, for example, the primary role of the brain, how it detects threats, negative bias, and unconscious biases
- Participate in exercises to reframe thinking and mindsets in a variety of different situations
Team building directly translates to high-performing teams. It is an essential part of building trust and cohesion amongst a working team and fosters an environment of creativity, learning and, ultimately, productivity. A business can overcome its biggest obstacles when its teams share the same vision and purpose and then work in unison to deliver their key strategic objectives.
“The Central Warehouse teams enjoyed the Minds Aligned presentation which focussed on fostering growth in the workplace. It was really helpful that we could source a local expert through the Local Buying Program who could deliver the face-to-face training that was well received by the team.“ Stephen Williams, BHP Central Warehouse said.
