BHP and BMA employees can register at any time to use the Local Buying Program for their procurement needs. Buyers will be required to validate their registrations via their BHP email. Once registered, buyers can source goods and services from Local Buying Program suppliers by raising Work Instructions.

Tier A Contractor employees can register at any time to use the Local Buying Program for their procurement needs. Buyers will be required to validate their registrations via their Tier A Contractor email. Once registered, buyers can source goods and services from Local Buying Program suppliers by raising Work Instructions.

South Australia Highlight Q4 FY22: Creative Indigenous Project Management

Further to their commitment to support Indigenous businesses, BHP wanted to engage a local Traditional Owner Indigenous Business for project management and videography at the recent Meet the Buyer event in Adelaide.

We Create Print Deliver is an Indigenous Business registered with the Local Buying Program within the last few months, and was successfully engaged by BHP, via the Local Buying Program, to deliver Project Management and Videography services for the event.

The Local Buying Program is increasingly being used as a procurement tool specifically for sourcing Traditional Owner and Indigenous Businesses.

BHP Buyers have access to a Supplier Register which solely focuses on promoting the capacity and capability of Traditional Owner and Indigenous Businesses registered with the Local Buying Program.

Site now have access to reliable small local businesses with capacity to meet the supply of goods and services within a wide scope of industries.

By registering as a supplier with the Local Buying Program, We Create Print Deliver has been able to broaden their customer base while also benefitting from greater visibility across the greater Upper Spencer Gulf region.

Additionally, securing the services of small, local business contributes to the sustainability of the regional community in which BHP operates.
