SA: Pride of Workmanship Awards a boon for locals

The last few weeks have shown us all that it is more important than ever to support and celebrate the small businesses in our communities.

The Rotary Club of Roxby District and the Roxby Downs Business Forum are collaborating to recognise employees with outstanding commitment, dedication and initiative to their work with a Pride of Workmanship Award.

Businesses in Roxby Downs and Andamooka will be asked to nominate employees who are an asset to the business by consistently doing an awesome job. The awards are an initiative of Rotary that has been running for 45 years and go by the motto of “Do it once. Do it well. Build a better Australia”.

It is an opportunity for businesses to acknowledge employees who have an exemplary sense of responsibility and pride in what they do, irrespective of their vocation, role or experience.

At this stage, the awards are planned to be announced at a celebratory evening on 20 May. Should this type of event not be able to go ahead, awards will be distributed directly to recipients and announced via social media.
