Shift Diesel & Earth have recently completed their 21st Work Instruction since joining the BHP Local Buying Program in July 2021. As residents of Newman with a young family, Ashley and Blain Tucker contribute to the local economy and community through local sport sponsorship and volunteering for not-for-profit community organisations.

Providing an exceptional service and maintaining the relationships built through BHP and the Local Buying Program, Shift Diesel & Earth have previously provided ad hoc labour needs, been involved in significant mining excavation as well as provided machinery and servicing to Whaleback, Eastern Ridge and Jimblebar sites.

Currently they employ both residential and FIFO workers, providing both accommodation and travel, but they see the importance of having more residential based employees, and are therefore investing in the local real estate. This promotes long term employment in the region, as well as a population growth in the surrounding regions.
