Local Buying Program Suppliers

Local businesses who have an annual turnover of <AUD$10M and a significant physical presence in the state’s eligible regions can register to participate in the Local Buying Program in that state.

Registrations are assessed on an individual basis in alignment with the Local Buying Program eligibility criteria. Once approved, suppliers will have the ability to access and respond to work opportunities (Work Instructions) in their state as they become available.

Buyers (BHP / BMA / Stanmore)

BHP / BMA / Stanmore employees can register at any time to use the Local Buying Program for their procurement needs. Buyers will be required to validate their registrations via their BHP / Stanmore email. Once registered, buyers can source goods and services from Local Buying Program suppliers by raising Work Instructions.

Buyers (Tier A Contractors)

Tier A Contractor employees can register at any time to use the Local Buying Program for their procurement needs. Buyers will be required to validate their registrations via their Tier A Contractor email. Once registered, buyers can source goods and services from Local Buying Program suppliers by raising Work Instructions.

BUSINESS HUNTER: Hunter Business Mining ‘Lunch Series’

The Hunter Business Mining Lunch is a quarterly series of events of special interest to businesses in the mining sector. It features high-profile industry speakers who provide insights into the Australian and global resources industry and valuable information on local opportunities for SME contractors and suppliers.

It is the only regular business series dedicated to bringing stakeholders in the Hunter mining industry together to network and share ideas. The first lunch of each year is a Women in Mining event which features respected female guest speakers and celebrates the growing contribution of women in the resources sector.
