This FREE program is all about improving knowledge of the Port Pirie region including local businesses, products, services and attractions to promote what our region has to offer within our community and to people visiting.
The program is open to anyone working or residing in the Port Pirie Regional Council area. Local businesses and organisations with staff or volunteers in customer facing roles such as retail, hospitality and accommodation are strongly encouraged to refer to the program.
The Town Ambassador Program will be delivered over 2 days and will include visiting local businesses and attractions in Port Pirie and surrounding townships and learning first-hand about what our region has to offer, followed by a Town Ambassador Training provided by TAFE SA, focusing on how to: provide great customer service, improve local product knowledge, create a positive image of your town, instill community pride and ownership, increase visitation numbers and satisfaction levels.
